Description
The Mercury Hybrid 4.5kVA 24V Solar Inverter runs your home or office from solar, battery, grid or generator, and switches between them automatically.
It delivers 4200W of continuous pure sine wave power with a built-in 5000W MPPT solar charger, so one unit replaces a separate inverter and charge controller. It comfortably powers lights, fans, TVs, a fridge or freezer, a washing machine and a 1HP air conditioner. With a lithium battery and up to 5kW of panels (for example 10 to 11 × 450W panels), it can carry most of a household’s daytime load on sunshine and keep essentials running through the night.
Why it is worth it
- Hybrid on-grid and off-gridWorks with NEPA, generator and solar. Runs off-grid when supply fails, with no settings to change.
- 5000W MPPT solar chargerBuilt-in MPPT tracks 60–500V PV input, so panels charge faster and work better in cloudy weather.
- Pure sine wave outputClean 230V power that is safe for TVs, fridges, air conditioners, pumps and sensitive electronics.
- Built-in WiFi and appMonitor solar production, battery level and load from your phone. OTG data logging is included.
- Lithium-readyRS485, CAN-bus or RS232 port talks to the battery BMS. Works with Mercury lithium batteries and with lead-acid too.
- Fast chargingUp to 120A total charge current, with 100A from the grid or generator.
- Dual AC outputTwin outputs let you separate essential loads from heavy loads.
- Built for NigeriaAnti-dust kit, wide 90–280V input range and battery equalisation for a longer battery life.

Frequently asked questions
Can it work without solar panels?
Yes. It runs as a normal 4.5kVA inverter on battery and charges from NEPA or a generator. You can add panels later without changing anything.
Can it work without a battery?
It is a battery-independent design, so it can pass grid or solar power to your loads without a battery. For backup during outages you still need a battery.
Which battery should I use?
Any 24V battery bank. For the longest life and fastest charging use a 24V lithium battery with BMS communication, such as the Mercury LiFePO4 range.
Can I run an air conditioner?
Yes. The 8400VA surge rating handles compressor start-up. Ask us to confirm sizing for your AC and the rest of your load.
